If you know me personally, you aren’t shocked by this. What a wonderful week spent getting to know friends and family of the bride and groom. 

What an incredible week of immersing in Turkish traditions, and Turkish food. 🤤

Exploring mosques, bazaars, Bosphorus dinner cruise, nightlife, ferry rides to Bursa, henna night and a beautiful wedding - it was a packed week of new experiences.

Very grateful for these friends & memories.
I’m heading on a solo journey to Turkey (with a I’m heading on a solo journey to Turkey (with a lovely little layover in London, England), at the end of this month. I’ll be meeting some friends there later in the week, but am SO excited to go at my own pace, have my own room (IYKYK) and indulge in delicious Mediterranean food and wine. 🍷 

Don’t get me wrong! I love travelling with my daughter and we’ve been on many amazing vacations together. I still believe all of us mom’s deserve a break, an opportunity to recharge, and come back with refreshed energy. ✨

This can look like:

- A guided tour, where solo travellers get together and you get to go with the flow, meeting incredible likeminded individuals. 

- A cruise. 🚢 Did you know different cruise lines have solo traveller events, as well as sales for solo cruisers throughout the year? I’m actually meeting friends who travelled solo on @virginvoyages, in Turkey. Talk about lasting friendships!

Why Costa Rica?

One of our favourite towns is Santa Teresa, Nicoya Peninsula, situated in a Blue Zone, this place embodies a slow paced and relaxed lifestyle. It has incredible restaurants focusing on organic and sustainability, a beautiful wellness community, incredible surf, safe to say it was easy to fall in love with this enchanting place.

Having travelled here multiple times, both as a couple and a family, I have explored most of the major areas of this beautiful country, and discovered some smaller off the beaten path towns.

A couple of months ago I received my Aussie specia A couple of months ago I received my Aussie specialist certification through the Australian Tourism Board. 🦘 

This March, we’ll be heading on a month-long adventure to Australia with a stop over in Hawaii, and a campervan road trip up the coast of Queensland. 🏝️

In December I got to experience a one of a kind ex In December I got to experience a one of a kind experience with @virginvoyages cruise line exploring the Eastern Caribbean. 🏝️ 

Some of my favourite things about Virgin Voyages that I feel set them apart from their competitors are:

🎭The entertainment. The shows were truly spectacular and nothing I have ever seen before in an All Inclusive environment.

🥙The food. As someone who has intolerances and is incredibly picky about good quality food, this was one of the biggest reasons I chose to explore VV and was super impressed. With so many good quality options for a variety of dietary preferences and intolerances, there truly wasn’t enough days to try everything they had to offer!

🧘‍♀️Sustainability and wellness. Two things I seek out to balance out the party and fun of vacation. Virgin constantly had classes from fitness, to yoga, to even workshops on acupuncture, nutrition, and all sorts of holistic modalities. They even have a track that goes around the boat. It is clear in all aspects of their business that they are striving to create more sustainable choices from no buffets to systems in place to reduce their carbon footprint. They definitely embody similar values of The Balanced Approach.

I will still be offering 1:1 nutritional consultations on an application basis, which means my wait times and booking times will be longer. If you have been thinking of working together, please don’t hesitate to reach out. As many know over the last few months who have inquired, if I do not feel I am best to serve you, I have a large referral basis that I will point you in the right direction towards, based on our conversations over our free clarity call.

This platform will continue to be a place where I share nutrition, yoga and wellness, as well as a collaboration of that while travelling, as it’s always been.

As many of you know, travel has always been a corn As many of you know, travel has always been a cornerstone of my personal life and business. Over the past four years running The Balanced Approach, my passion for travel has only deepened, and my mission to empower others to explore the world with their little ones has grown stronger. Some of my favourite moments to share here involve living and embodying “The Balanced Approach” while traveling, enjoying local, nutritious, and culturally diverse foods, and discovering businesses that align with our values.

Recently, I earned my Travel Advisor title as an affiliate of Travel Edge, under the mentorship of the incredibly knowledgeable @elsewherebylaura . This experience has boosted my confidence in assisting families, couples, and individuals with their travel plans and custom itineraries. I am excited to continue growing from here.

Hello, I’m back after a nice social media break. Hello, I’m back after a nice social media break. Here is a collection of nourishing food and moments I enjoyed during my hiatus. The following is personal but important to be shared.

I initially took my social media break as I started to notice signs of Postpartum Anxiety. For anyone that knows me personally, or knows my journey that brought me to this profession, it was rooted in my mental health struggles and my purpose to help others.

So I knew this was a possibility and I read, researched and prepared for the potential moment. It definitely snuck up on me by surprise and so, I took a pause to get help, and look inward.

I am still on my healing journey, but felt comfortable starting to connect online again. I didn’t want to continue to share the highlights without the honest truth. I believe social media plays a big role in our most vulnerable moments, and it’s important to know when to disconnect and take time for yourself. 

I was able to incorporate routines that I used to have again, and now continue to do so with the addition of being connected again. I will still have my notifications off on socials, in order to choose when to sign on. It’s been easier than I anticipated! 

So enjoy these delicious meals and moments like I did, and know they are highlights of a very much bigger picture ♥️

It has been 3 months of loving & learning with baby Vi. It’s been so incredible to see her grow from day 2 (photo 1) to now (photo 4). 

Thank you for your patience as I figure out what the new year looks like for The Balanced Approach. I have been taking this time continuing my education and am excited to offer more to my clients in the new year.

Right now, I am taking names down on a waitlist to work together in the new year. By getting on the waitlist, you will receive 2022 pricing, with new services added at no additional cost to you, as well as first choice on appointments when my books open. 

This offer will stand until December 24th! Books will open in January/February depending on services needed.

A few weeks ago I got to explore @innatbayfortune A few weeks ago I got to explore @innatbayfortune . This space embodies so much of what I believe in, from organic farming practices, sustainable fishing, supporting local, to living off the land. We got a tour of the farm, and ended with a beautiful feast of food as shown in the photos. They were incredible at modifying for my mom and I’s dietary needs. 

Ended the night with a gorgeous sun setting view. Highly recommend treating yourself to this experience!

A personal update! 💫

Been surrendering to slowing down, as I make my way into my third trimester (next week!)

Been moving to lower intensity workouts such a strength classes at @kaosathletics_ , Pilates classes with @thebellemethod and my own personal yoga practice. Tons of walks and even a little kayak which I hope to do more often in these next few months.

I am so grateful for this journey and couldn’t be where I am without my support. My friends and family and health providers.
